Hana Bank announced on the 25th that it has introduced a new mobile branch service to assist elderly customers in non-metropolitan areas who face difficulties in accessing financial services due to the expansion of non-face-to-face financial transactions.
This service has been specifically designed for senior customers who find it challenging to access banking services due to the lack of branches in their areas.
The newly introduced "Moving Hana Bank for Seniors" will visit major senior welfare facilities in Gwangju Metropolitan City once a week, providing essential financial services to senior customers.
The service will target locations such as Hyoryeong Senior Welfare Town and Bitgoeul Senior Welfare Center, offering support for commonly used services by seniors, including opening and reissuing bank accounts, issuing and reissuing debit cards, and handling pension payments and deposit/withdrawal transactions.
To facilitate this, a vehicle equipped with a smart kiosk, portable devices, and on-the-spot card issuance machines will be deployed, allowing customers to access financial services more conveniently and safely.
A Hana Bank representative stated, "To enhance the financial accessibility and convenience of senior customers in financial blind spots who find it difficult to visit banks, we plan to expand the 'Moving Hana Bank for Seniors' service to various non-metropolitan areas." The representative added, "We will continue to make efforts to fulfill our social responsibility in finance by protecting financially marginalized groups, including the elderly."
