Gijang County has announced that the '2024 Gijang Imrang Summer Music Festival' will be held at Imrang Beach on the 24th and 25th of this month.
The festival, which has been held annually since it first started in 2012, will take place at Imrang Beach in Jang-an-eup, a location recently gaining recognition as a surfing hotspot. The event has been well-loved by many local residents and tourists.
This year's festival promises to offer a special experience to visitors with a richer program and performances.
On the first day, the '2024 Children's Song Contest' will be held, featuring elementary school students from across the country, marking the beginning of the festival. This will be followed by a variety of performances that the whole family can enjoy. On the second day, the 'Beach University Song Festival' will showcase original songs by college students, presenting a stage full of youthful energy and passion.
The festival will also feature performances by popular artists such as Koyote, rapper BewhY, and Choi Bo-hun, adding to the vibrant atmosphere and making Gijang County’s summer nights even more exciting.
Gijang County Mayor Jeong Jong-bok stated, "The Gijang Imrang Summer Music Festival is a festival led by young generations, from children to college students," and added, "I hope it will promote our county’s youthful and dynamic image, contribute to local tourism, and stimulate the regional economy."
